Tell us how you got into blogging.
My sister was diagnosed with celiac disease her Junior year of high school, and I with a gluten allergy not too long after that. Going gluten-free changed my life in lots of positive ways: my migraines disappeared, my digestion became more regular, and my itchy skin (which was constant) subsided for the most part. While these things made my life much better, the gluten-free lifestyle came with challenges of its own. Traveling, entertaining, even dating can be tricky when dealing with gluten. So I like to share my go-to recipes, favorite gluten-free products and restaurant reviews for those who might be new to the gluten-free lifestyle or are looking for inspiration.
Favorite restaurant in Chicago and why?
Wheat’s End cafe. I can eat EVERYTHING in there, and have a mimosa or Bloody Mary. That’s a win win win. Plus who doesn’t like to dress up for brunch?
What is your signature style hack?
Booties make me walk with confidence.
Best compliment you’ve received on a look/outfit?
People always tell me I look effortlessly classy- which is an amazing thing to hear!
What do you love about the outfit(s) you chose to wear in your shoot?
My Patagonia jacket is actually from the 7th GRADE! My mom even had my initials sewn into the pocket so that I wouldn’t lose it at school. I can’t think of a better example of how Patagonia has stayed relevant and stylish!
Why is Instagram an important platform for you?
I have made so many friends on the ‘gram! People that I now consider really close friends. I’ve learned from them and I hope they feel like they’ve learned from me. Instagram is my place to connect with people in the GF community.
