Tis the season to play dress up and get a little fancy-schmancy! With a packed social calendar every December, it’s without a doubt the best time of year to refresh something from another season and make it work for the holidays. Peggy from Hallways Are My Runways is a Teacher with a budget friendly closet and can certainly teach us a thing or two about dressing within budget during the holiday madness.
Peggy is the inspiraition for this week’s theme: #DazzlinginDressup
Time for some of Peggy’s Styling Tips!
What kind of clothing would we find you in on a typical “day in the life” of you?
Either a dress or high waisted pants with heels, or jeans with sneakers and a tee.
What makes your sense of style unique?
I like mixing prints and patterns. I like to wear pieces of clothing that tell a story or remind me of a place I’ve been to. I also like non-traditional pieces and mixing high end and budget friendly finds in an outfit.
What is the best thing you’ve bought recently:
Necklaces to layer from my trip to the Greek Islands
What is the oldest thing in your closet you still wear?
Ralph Lauren Sunglasses – they’re timeless!
Favorite place to find fashion on the cheap:
Nordstrom Rack for newer finds, but Crossroads Trading for 2nd hand deals and selling my own clothes.
Best compliment you’ve received on Insta:
That I look happy 🙂
